We're looking for...

An exceptional art director with a flair for creative marketing concepts, a strategic understanding of business objectives and the ability to manage a talented team of designers.

With several years’ experience, you’ll have the skills to design for the brand and the user, create strong conceptual pitch work and communicate the creative vision to the client.

What's the role?

You’ll have responsibility for three key accounts within Fortune Cookie, ensuring all creative output is to highest possible standard.

Pre-sales, you’ll assess the client’s existing online offering and suggest improvements to meet strategic and business objectives.

You’ll plan and lead creative pitches, supported by the Creative Director, deciding how best to develop and present creative work with the pitch team. You’ll focus on answering objectives from the brief and demonstrating our vision and innovative thinking.

You’ll work with project managers to plan design deliverables. You’ll lead effective creative design work, communicating the creative vision of the project to the team. You’ll review the creative with the team and direct how best to communicate key business messages, unique selling points and core brand values to the user.

You’ll ensure high standards with strict quality control, review outcomes of user testing and discuss design revisions with the development team.

You are someone who...

  • Blends an excellent eye for design with sound commercial sense and builds creative ideas around business objectives
  • Can communicate a design vision and rationale compellingly, both to the client and to the team
  • Has outstanding organisational skills – you’ll define design tasks, according to the clients budgets and timescales, identify risks and ensure all deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Can engage with the client and the brand, working with client feedback to ensure that the final design supports the user and creates a consistent, engaging brand presence
  • Knows how to design for the widest range of users, placing accessibility at the heart of the work without compromising creativity
  • Has a keen interest in the latest technologies and innovative techniques – and wants to make a difference in the industry
  • Loves being a part of the creative scene – you’ll be attending conferences and expos, reviewing future technologies
  • Is self motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate, with plenty of initiative
  • Is a team player, always willing to share and discuss ideas

Boxes to tick

  • At least 7 years’ experience pitching for projects and creating world-class, outstanding digital design for a range of clients
  • Expertise in traditional design disciplines including layout, typography, imagery and colour with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Full understanding of industry leading web design tools for developing screen, animation, brand, illustration and dynamic application design
  • Familiarity with web disciplines, technologies and best practice in online branding, usability, accessibility, information architecture and user interface development
