The brief:

De Beers recognised the value of creating an internal global network to enhance productivity and internal communications, whilst creating a sense of community among their 16,000 employees and nineteen companies across the world.

The work:

De Beers existing intranet was very useful to employees, however the platform lacked the ability to enable users to engage, interact and be social with other employees. So we connected De Beers vast family by integrating a social platform transforming this intranet into a social online community. Employees are brought together regardless of location according to their roles, interests and expertise.

The network encourages and celebrates innovation and collaboration across departments, buildings and continents allow all employees to feel a part of the global De Beers success story.

All content is disseminated to the relevant audiences ensuing each employee enjoys an experience that is personlised and engaging. Colleagues can create meaningful personal profiles to connect with each other and the network increases productivity by allowing employees to share problems and ideas with the relevant people across the world, whilst minimising the likelihood of duplication of work.

The results:

De Beers global network of companies and employees are now connected through a social and personalised global online network that not only improves efficiencies and productivity across the group, but joins the family together to create a sense of unity and collaboration.
